Abuse

In reference to Child Protection, the term “abuse” covers either the harm or ill-treatment of a child, or the failure to protect a child from harm or ill-treatment. Generally speaking, there are four categories of abuse in terms of the Child Protection process:

  • Emotional Abuse
  • Physical Abuse
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Neglect
